Beginner :
The beginner is exactly what it sounds like, an introduction to the world’s fastest growing and most exciting water sport, kiteboarding. You get to see what it is like to fly a powered trainer kite under the instruction and guidance of one of our trained IKO instructors. You will learn on land, about safety and release systems, how to rig and launch a trainer foil kite and a 4 lines inflatable kite, control and steering, correct flying technique, understanding the wind window, how to generate and control power and how to launch and land the kite safely, etc.

El principiante es exactamente lo que suena, una introducción al creciente y mas fascinante deporte de agua, Kiteboarding. Veras como es volar un pequeño kite con poder, bajo la guía e instrucción de una de nuestros instructores certificados en IKO. Aprenderás primero en tierra, acerca de elementos de seguridad, como armar y lanzar un trainer foil kite y un kite inflable de 4 líneas, a controlar y manejar un kite, la técnica correcta de como volar un kite, entenderás que es la ventana de viento, como generar poder y control y como despegar y aterrizar un kite de manera segura.

Beginner :
The first part of the course covers the following:
-Equipment carrying and setup.
- Determining the wind direction.
- Know how works the safety systems.
- Piloting at the top of the wind window, underpowered.
- Piloting a kite from right to left on the edge of the window.
- Launching and landing at the edge of the window with an assistant
- Piloting in the power zone underpowered.
- Landing the kite alone and walking to the kite.
- Piloting in the power zone.
- Piloting with a harness.
- Piloting with one hand
- Advanced flying skills with the de-power kite
- Awareness of the wind effects and their
dangers.
Principiante
En la iniciación del curso se enseñaran los siguientes items:
- Armado de los kites.
- Determinar la dirección del viento.
- Volar una cometa pequeña en el borde de la ventana y mantenerla cerca del suelo.
- Activar el sistema de seguridad.

Intermediate:
Now is the time to get wet! In this lesson you will fly a larger, more powerful LEI kite (as appropriate to the wind strength). You will learn kite control and body dragging in the water. You will also learn water re-launch, self rescue in the water and first water starts .
Requirement:
Students must be 18 years and over, or have written permission from his/ her parents.
Know how to swim. Students must have completed beginner level instruction.

Intermediate :
Once you have completed the beginner level course the next steps are:
-Setup the equipment alone (kite, lines, bar)
-Enter and exit the water independently and safely while controlling the kite.
-Water re-launch the kite.
-First body drag downwind.
-Recover the kite and bar in the water.
-Upwind body drag to recover board.
-Know the power stroke for a water start.
-Know the safety rules and theory for water start.
-Water start in both directions and ride a short distance.
-Understand weather forecast, tidal- and
wind effects.
Una vez terminado el curso inicial los siguientes pasos son:
-Saber decidir si el área de práctica es segura.
-Preparar y comprobar el equipo solo (kite, líneas y barra).
-Entrar y salir del agua, segura e independientemente, mientras se pilotea el kite.
-Relanzar el kite en el agua.
-Hacer body drag down wind.
-Recuperar el kite y la tabla en agua profunda.
-Hacer body drag upwind para recuperar la tabla.
-Saber la teoría del water Start: posicionamiento del cuerpo y de la tabla, manejo del kite.-Ponerse la tabla solo y practica del water start.-Primeras salidas con la tabla (con kites de baja potencia)-Aprender climatología, mareas y efectos del viento.

Advanced :
Continuous down-winders in open water or short ones in waves, allow you the opportunity to perfect water starts, transitions and focus on staying up-wind. A “breakthrough” day for many intermediate kiteboarders. This course is designed to get you out of the learning/intermediate phase of kiteboarding, so you can be completely self-sufficient on the water. This stage takes normally more than one lesson, that’s depends on your skills.

Navegando continuamente downwind en aguas abiertas, le dará la oportunidad de hacer perfectos water starts, transiciones y enfocarse en mantenerse upwind. Este día será un gran avance para la mayoría de los kiteboarders intermedios. Este curso está diseñado para que avance desde la fase de principiante/intermedio, y así convertirlo en un kiteboarder totalmente autosuficiente dentro del agua. Esta parte del curso toma normalmente más de una lección, esto dependerá de sus habilidades.

Los pasos finales de tu entrenamiento seran:
-Conocer las reglas de prioridad.
-Alejarse del lugar de inicio y volver.

The purpose of the kiteboarding clinics are to help you advance to your next personal level at your own pace. The instructors will guide you, giving you professional tips and helping you achieve your goals. A fantastic opportunity for you to take your kite surfing skills onto the next level and push the boundaries of what you thought you were capable of.
We organize kiteboarding clinics for different level riders, from total beginners who want to learn how to kite in a week, to people who already masters small jumps, can sail upwind easily and are thinking about expanding their knowledge of tricks & moves.
If you are serious about learning to kiteboard from zero and fast, this is your choice. Private lessons in different kite environments, lessons are hold twice per day and you are going to become independent in less than a week.

The best spot for kiteboarding in Aruba, sandy white beach, constant cross-on-shore wind all year around, the turquoise water have some waves, so you can play there like in a skate park. Boca is the perfect place for beginners who wants to progress, or advance riders who want to cross their own limits.

From Barcadera to Fisherman huts or Arashi, one of the most beautifull downinders you can do around the world, 15 to 20 km long (9-12 miles) depens where we end, sailing across the nicest beaches you can find on the Caribbean.

Barcadera :
Barcadera is a sand bank, surrounded of reef, the wind is moderate gusty, and the water flat, perfect for advance riders practicing upwind sailing or for jumps.

Snowkiting :
Ushuaia-Tierra del Fuego-Argentina, the end of the world, the southest city of the world, here Xtremewinds will organize 2010 the last week of July and the first week of August, a snowkiting trip and snowkiting clinics. If you never have been kiting on the snow don’t worry, we are going to teach you everything you need to know to do it, the clinics are lead by Fernando Dulce level 2 IKO snowkiting instructor and IKO level 2 Senior kiteboarding instructor.
Kiting area is in Tierra Mayor Valley, 10 times to 2km, perfect snowy flat area, very windy and next to a one of the nicest Restaurants of Ushuaia. Nearby, 3km away is located the Cerro Castor Ski resort, where you can ski or snowboard if the wind is not kicking. There is a plenty to do in Ushuaia. You won’t get bored.
Snowkiting:
The snowkiting trip includes:
Accomodation in Ushuaia city, two people per room.
Transportation to/from snowkiting area or ski resort if you want to snowboard or ski.
Supervision in the kite spot.
Upon request: rental snowkiting/ski/snowboarding equipment. Lessons and clinics, food, Snowmobiles trips, sledge dogs trips. ( These are not included in the price.)

Locations : Our base is located in Noord, and we move around the island depending how is the wind, also depending on your riding level. Doesn’t matter where your hotel is: High rise, Low rise, Bakval, Oranjestad, etc, we pick you up from your hotel and take you to the different kiting spots .

California dunes: Here is where you kiteboarding training start, you are going to learn the basics of this sport on land, free of obstacles sandy dunes, first with a trainer kite, and after with a 4 line Bow/LEI kite. At the end of the lesson you are going to be able to fly, handle and know all the safety systems of the kite.
California Dunes: Aqui es donde su entrenamiento de kite comienza, usted aprendera las bases del kiteboarding en tierra, libre de obstáculos en dunas de arena, primero con un Trainer kite, y luego con un Bow Kite de 4 líneas. Al finalizar la lección usted podra pilotear un kite y conocer todos los sistemas de seguridad del mismo.
Arashi: is a beautiful beach where you can do snorkeling, located in Noord. This spot has a off-shore gusty winds and a small launching area. To kite here, for safety reasons, we recommend have a rescue boat near, in case you need it. Only for advance riders
Arashi: Es una Hermosa playa donde podrá kaitear y su familia practicar snorkelling, ubicada en el norte de la isla. Este spot tien vientos arrachados off-shore, una pequeña area de lanzamiento/aterrizaje y agua plana. Para navegar aquí recomendamos supervisión y bote de rescate por motivos de seguridad. Solo para kiters avanzados
Fisherman huts: is a off-shore spot with very gusty winds, perfect for experience riders who wants to ride in flat waters. After a couple of lessons is a good spot for beginner/intermediate to learn to stand up on the board, always with a supervision of a instructor and rescue boat. Medium launching area. Be careful with the reef and some rocks in front of the launching area and also there are some schools who teach in the shallow area near the shore, difficult to come back to the landing area. We recommend rescue boat service. Only for advance riders or beginners/intermediate with instructor and rescue boat.
Fisherman huts: es un spot con viento off-shore muy arrachado, perfecto para kiters experimentados que deseen navegar en aguas planas. Después de algunas clases es un buen lugar para aprender a pararse sobre la tabla siempre bajo la supervisión de un instructor y bote de rescate. Area de despegue aterrizaje mediana. Para navegar aquí hay que tener cuidado con un arrecife, algunas rocas bajo el agua frente el area de despegue y algunas escuelas que enseñan en la zona de aguas bajas. Es dificultoso de volver a la playa. Solo para kiters avanzados o begginer/intermediate con instructor/supervisor y bote de rescate.
Druif beach: is a side-shore gusty winds flat and wavy (depends the wind) turquoise water. Large lauching area. Experienced riders can come to the shore alone. We recommend rescue boat service. Only for advance riders or beginners/intermediate with instructor/supervision and rescue boat.
Druif beach: viento side-shore arrachado con aguas turquesas planas u oleadas segun el viento. Larga area para despegar/aterrizar. Kiters avanzados pueden volver solos a la playa. Solo para kiters avanzados o begginer/intermediate con instructor/supervisor y bote de rescate.
Barcadera: is side-shore moderate gusty winds, choppy if is very windy. Small launching area with obstacles, be very carefull when you launch or land, for safety reasons we recommend launching and landing on the sand bank. This is a very nice spot to start upwind riding to Mangel halto or downwinder to Druif beach or Arashi. We recommend rescue boat service. Only for advance riders or beginners/intermediate with instructor and rescue boat.
Barcadera: viento side-shore con rachas moderadas, choppy si hay mucho viento. Área de lanzamiento pequeña con obstáculos, sea muy precavido al despegar/aterrizar su kite, por razones de seguridad recomendamos despegar/aterrizar en banco de arena. Este lugar es muy bueno para comenzar un upwinder hacia el manglar alto o un downwinder hacia Druif beach o Arashi. Solo para kiters avanzados o begginer/intermediate con instructor/supervisor y bote de rescate.
Boca Grandi: with perfect constant side-shore and on-shore trade winds, wavy/choppy turquoise water, the best spot to learn and progress in this sport, also the favorite spot in Aruba for the tourists and locals. Everybody loves Boca Grandi from beginners to the most experience riders. Huge launching/landing area. Here is where we recommend you learn how to start with kiteboarding or have an amazing session. No rescue boat needed.
Boca Grandi: con vientos perfectos y constantes side-shore, side-on-shore, on-shore, oleadas aguas turquesas, el mejor spot para aprender y avanzar en este deporte, también el spot favorito de los kitesurfers locales. No se necesita bote de rescate. Avanzados e intermedio pueden navegar por si mismo, principiantes solo con instructor.
Xtremewinds History
Xtremewinds is born in Ushuaia-Tierra del fuego-Patagonia-Argentina. Summer of 2005 a love between two vagabonds is the beginning of a great adventure. Helena was full filling her long term dream to travel around the world, just graduated and Total quality management of tourism papers in her hand she left to South America. In a same time Fernando wanted to change his life from being photographer to start his own kiteboarding school. He certificated as a IKO instructor and started to travel around Argentina to find the ultimate kiteschool spot. Both ended to be at the same time in Ushuaia, met and madly fell in love.
2005 in winter they decided to open their own snowkite school, the first in South America and in southern hemisphere, Xtremewinds. During that winter Fernando was teaching snowkiting in Tierra Mayor, Ushuaia and Caviahue and Helena was learning snowkiting. When winter was over in southern hemisphere they backed their belongings and moved to up north of Finland, Lapland. In Finland they both did the Level 1 IKO snowkiting instructor training program and Helena a Ski/Snowboard instructor training program, and worked all the winter managing and teaching a snowkiting, ski and snowboard school in a ski resort called Ski Saariselka.
2006 they got married in the land of Santa Claus and started a road kiteboarding trip to Turkey.The summer in Alacati was incredible for kiteboarding and Fernando was teaching at Givid co a kiteboarding school, while Helena did the IKO Level 1 kiteboarding instructor in Greece. Working hard 4 months in Turkey the road trip continued. They took a ferry boat in Chesme-Turquey to Ancona-Italy and started to enjoy the winds and beaches of Europe. Monaco,France, Andorra, Spain, Portugal, Holland, Belgium, Germany, Denmark, Sweden. The road trip ended back in Finland and other snowkiting, ski and snowboard winter season started in Saariselka-Lapland.
After working three winter seasons in extreme south and north they started to miss something different. Life in a summer, by the torquoise water, white sandy beaches and under the coconut tree, haven’t we all dreamed of that kind of live? 2007 They decided to go famous Cabarette in Dominican Republic. They Worked for Laurel Eastman Kiteboarding and got a lot more of teaching experience, Fernando got his IKO level 2 senior and Helena IKO level 2. But still something was missing. So they went around travelling and teaching in places like Tulum-Mexico, Miami-Usa, Caye Caulker-Belize. They were not satisfied until they found a kiting paradise, Aruba-Netherlands Antilles, a year around 15/25 knots of wind and the turquoise water and miles of white sand. Aruba is everything what they have dreamed of. Years 2008 and 2009 passed teaching and enjoying kiteboarding in Aruba, Venezuela and snowkiting, skiing and snowboarding in Argentina.
Now in 2010 Xtremewinds propose you to learn,enjoy and travel with them. They are willing to pass all their experience of the fantastic world of Kiteboarding and Snowkiting. Come to Aruba and Argentina with us.
Xtremewinds nació en Ushuaia, Tierra del Fuego-Patagonia-Argentina. En el verano de2005, un amor entre dos vagabundos es el comienzo de una gran aventura. Helena estaba concretando su sueño a largo plazo para viajar por todo el mundo, Recién graduada en Gestión de calidad de turismo comenzo su gira por
América del Sur. Al mismo tiempo, Fernando queria cambiar su vida de fotógrafo para iniciar su propia escuela de kitesurf. El ya certificado como instructor IKO instructor , comenzó a viajar por la Argentina para encontrar un spot y abrir una escuela de kitesurf. Ambos terminaron al mismo tiempo en Ushuaia, se conocieron y se enamoraron.
En el invierno de 2005 decidieron a abrir su propia escuela de snowkite, la primera en América del Sur y en el hemisferio sur, Xtremewinds. Durante ese invierno Fernando estaba enseñando snowkite en Tierra Mayor, Ushuaia y Caviahue y Helena estaba aprendiendo snowkite. Cuando el invierno había terminado en el hemisferio sur tomaron sus pertenencias y se trasladaron a el norte de Finlandia, Laponia. En Finlandia, Helena y Fernando hicieron la certificacion para instructor de snowkite IKO Nivel 1 snowkite y Helena la certificacion de instructora de snowboard y se dirigieron a Saariselka un pequeño centro de esqui en Laponia donde abrieron la primera escuela de snowkite dentro de un centro de esqui, y se dedicaron a impartir lecciones de snowkite, snowboard y esqui. .
En 2006 se casaron en la tierra de Santa Claus y comenzó un camino largo hacia Turquia, su nuevo destino para ensenar kiteboarding.El verano en Alacati fue increíble para hacer kiteboarding y Fernando estubo enseñando en una escuela llamada Givid kiteboarding, mientras que Helena hizo lacertificacion IKO Nivel 1 de instructor de kiteboarding en Grecia.
